Sage Steele has signed with HeartRock Partners for management representation.
HeartRock founder and CEO Alec Shankman confirmed the new client signing to The Hollywood Reporter, praising the veteran on camera host for her talent and resumé. “We are beyond thrilled to welcome Sage Steele to the HeartRock Partners family. Sage is a remarkable talent whose authenticity, voice, and commanding presence have made her one of the most respected and influential personalities in media. Beyond her incredible resume, her passion and resilience align perfectly with everything we stand for.”
Steele currently hosts The Sage Steele Show, a weekly video podcast. The series finds Steele broadening beyond sports to sit down with entertainers, business leaders, politicians, pop culture insiders and newsmakers for deep dives on various issues and topics. She also regularly engages in sports news and topics. She counts more than 228,000 subscribers on YouTube, 668,000 followers on Instagram and more than half a million on X.
Steele was once represented by CAA. The veteran host exited her post at ESPN in August 2023, a move that came after she settled a lawsuit with the network over allegedly violating her free speech rights in retaliation for comments she made on NFL star Jay Cutler’s podcast in 2021 about COVID-19 vaccine mandates and former President Barack Obama. Steele had served as a SportsCenter anchor and onetime host of NBA Countdown. After exiting ESPN, Steele later sued CAA for how it handled the situation with ESPN and parent company Disney.
Steele also posts a lot about faith on Instagram; HeartRock works frequently in the space by repping the Robertson Family including Willie, Korie, Sadie and Mary Kate. HeartRock launched less than a year ago with headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, and satellite offices in Los Angeles and New York. The company has a roster of nearly four dozen clients so far, including Expedition Unknown star Josh Gates, Sadie Robertson and her company Live Original, Mara Beauty founder Allison McNamara, pastry chef and Wild Rye Baking’s Sarah Chisholm, realtor couple and creators Tessa and Barron Hilton and more. The firm signed YouTube star Joey Graceffa in July.
