Jenny Mollen is sharing a glimpse at how she’s “surviving” amid her divorce from Jason Biggs.
The Girls actress, 47, took to Instagram on Wednesday, July 22, to share a video of herself running barefoot through a field in a black, white and floral-patterned maxi dress with a high leg slit, which she paired with dark sunglasses. The clip was set to Metric’s 2008 hit “Help, I’m Alive.”
“So we are clear, I am massively depressed,” Mollen captioned the post. “This is just what surviving looks like.”
Mollen’s video comes more than two months after news broke of her split from Biggs, 48, after 18 years of marriage. A rep confirmed their breakup to Us in May, noting that the exes are on “great terms” and remain committed to coparenting their sons, Sid, 12, and Lazlo, 8.
Mollen later broke her silence on the split via an essay on her Substack, “The Best Friend Experience.”
“When you’re young and ambitious, or maybe just middle-aged with ADHD, it feels impossible to appreciate anything while you’re in it,” she wrote. “The highest highs of my life have all hit like pennies disappearing into a bottomless well.”
She continued, “I’d wait — maybe a moment or two for the sound of something landing, but before it ever did, I was on to the next. Hoping that the next thing would finally be the one that cured me — the one that made me feel worthy and validated in a way that has always evaded me.”
Mollen also admitted to feeling like a “spare” in her marriage.

“When I got together with Jason, I always had a chip on my shoulder in the beginning because I felt like suddenly I went from being the oldest daughter and I felt like I had my s*** together and then suddenly, I married this guy who in a lot of ways — career wise — totally eclipsed me,” she shared on the “What Matters With Liz” podcast. “Everybody was like, ‘Oh, my God, Jason Biggs,’ and I became the guest. And it drove me crazy to always just be, like, brushed to the side.”
Biggs, for his part, has not publicly commented on the split. However, the actor reunited with Mollen on a walk in NYC in June, as seen in photos obtained by Us at the time. Mollen also revealed that she and her estranged husband still talk “18 times a day” despite going their separate ways.
“There is this element of, like, it isn’t a normal breakup,” she said on Amanda Hirsch’s “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast.
Biggs and Mollen met on the set of My Best Friend’s Girl in 2007 and got engaged in January 2008. The American Pie star and the Live Fast Die Hot author eloped in a private ceremony later that year, followed by a second ceremony with family and friends in Napa, California, in July 2008.
